The Irish in the American Civil War—Ireland’s forgotten conflict! About 150,000 Irish men fought in the Union Army and 20,000 for the Confederacy. “Sons of Erin” will be discussed.

Part 3: Friday, April 6
American Civil War Battlefield Practices—Hear how the mid-19th Century surgeons’ medical practices and hospitals impacted the life of the Civil War soldier.

Part 4: Friday, May 4
Camp William Penn—Learn about this training ground for Civil War African-American soldiers in the La Mott section of Cheltenham, PA.
